
Dr. Jeremy Shapiro joined Boulevard Pediatrics as a full-time pediatrician in June, 2005. Raised in West Los Angeles, Dr. Shapiro completed his undergraduate education at UC San Diego, earning a BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, and a BA in Political Science. He returned to UCLA and earned a Masters Degree in Public Health/Epidemiology. Dr. Jeremy then completed his medical degree at the Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in 2001, and returned again to LA to complete his internship and residency training in Pediatrics at the Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA.
Dr. Shapiro has maintained a public health focus throughout his medical training and has presented research on childhood obesity and pediatric HIV at national conferences. Dr. Jeremy continues his research interests by being actively involved in PROS (Pediatric Research in Office Settings) and also serves as a medical advisor and writer for one of the nation’s largest on-line health-related social networking sites.
Dr. Jeremy shares his journey with his wife, Nicole, and is the proud father of Lauren, Jackson and Madeline.
Dr. Shapiro is currently accepting newborns and older patients transferring from other practices. For expectant parents, interviews may be arranged by phone or on specific days during the lunch hour.
