Dr. JJ Levenstein brings to Boulevard Pediatrics over 25 years experience committed to the care of children. After graduating from UC Berkeley, she served as a research associate at the Children’s Cancer Research Institute in San Francisco. She then pursued a second undergraduate degree at Duke University, graduating summa cum laude, and obtained a credential as a Physician Assistant specializing in Pediatrics at Yale University.
After devoting five years to patient care in the department of Pediatrics at Kaiser Los Angeles, Dr. JJ returned to school and obtained her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She married and had her son Max while in medical school. She completed her specialty training in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and has been in private practice since that time. She has been voted one of the Best Doctors in America every year since 2003. She serves on the advisory boards of several child-related organizations, is on the Board of Directors of United Cerebral Palsy Los Angeles, on the Scientific Advisory Council of the National Peanut Board, and is a contributing author for StrollerTraffic.com and MOMeo.com. She is also president and co-founder of MD MOMS, a company dedicated to formulating safe and effective skin care for children, and further children's charitable causes.
Originally from San Francisco, Dr. JJ has made her home in Los Angeles for over 25 years. She and her husband Bruce proudly designed and built this office in 2003 and have been proud to share this achievement with our practice community, colleagues and our staff.
In 2007 Boulevard Pediatrics was given a 5-star (highest) rating by the prestigious LILA Guide for high quality pediatric care, terrific staff and beautiful environment.
Dr. JJ is planning to retire this year and her last day in the office will be June 28, 2012. Understandably, she will not be accepting any new patients into her practice.
